After teaming up with director Vijay as a music composer in most of his films, it was reported that GV Prakash Kumar will be playing the lead in the Lakshmi director's next.  

A source close to the unit revealed that the project has been titled Watchman and the shooting is almost completed. 

When contacted, the director refused to add on to the speculation saying that it was too early to reveal any details on the project and affirmed that the official announcement would be out soon. 

GV Prakash's upcoming releases include the Vasanthabalan-directed Jail and Shanmugam Muthuswamy's Adangathey. Vijay, meanwhile, is basking in the success of his Prabhudheva-starrer Lakshmi and has been announced by Vibri Media as the director of their upcoming biopic on former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.
