Malayalam director KK Haridas passed away due to a cardiac arrest on Sunday morning in Kochi. Born in Pathanamthitta, Haridas made his debut through the hit Jayaram-starrer Vadhu Doctoraanu and directed around 15 films. 

While he specialised in comedies and was mostly active in the late '90s, he also made films like Kokkarakko, Kaakkaykkum Poochaykkum Kalyaanam, Kinnam Katta Kallan, Kalyanappittennu, and Ee Mazha Thenmazha.

Haridas is survived by his wife Anitha and two children, Haritha and Suryadas.
