While it is confirmed that Ajith's next will be produced by the late Sridevi's husband, Boney Kapoor, it has come to light that Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru-fame H Vinoth will most likely direct the film. 

Though it was recently speculated that Vishnuvardhan, who has previously collaborated with Ajith in Billa and Aarambam, will direct the yet-to-be-titled film, a source close to the production house has debunked those rumours and said that H Vinoth is still part of the project. The makers are yet to announce the principal cast and crew of the project, which is expected to go on floors by the end of January 2019. 

Meanwhile, Ajith is busy shooting for Viswasam, which marks his fourth collaboration with director Siva. Also starring Nayanthara, Anikha, Vivek, Kovai Sarala, Yogi Babu, Thambi Ramaiah and Robo Shankar, the film has music by D Imman and is expected to hit the screens for Pongal next year.
