After some hurdles lasting several months, debutant Nirmal Sahadev's Ranam finally has a release date. The film, which was supposed to be released in April, is now all set to hit the screens on September 6.

Shot in the US, Ranam has an alternate title, Detroit Crossing, and revolves around a war between Indian gangs operating in Detroit. Prithviraj, Rahman and Isha Talwar play the main leads in this film, which marks the Malayalam debut of Bhutanese cinematographer, Jigme Tenzig. Ranam, produced by Lawson Entertainment and Yes Cinema, has music by Jakes Bejoy and is edited by Sreejith Sarang.

Meanwhile, Prithviraj recently finished shooting for Nine, and is currently working on his directorial debut, Lucifer, starring Mohanlal.
