Akshay Kumar, who is currently busy promoting his upcoming film, Gold, opened up in a recent interview about Rajinikanth's 2.0. The actor, who plays the antagonist in Shankar's magnum opus, said, "I am keeping my fingers crossed for the release of the film. Aside from the scenes I saw while dubbing, I haven't seen even a single frame yet. But I know it'll be a beautiful film." He also claimed that the delay in the film has lead to his fans jokingly asking him on social media if he actually even shot for the film.

2.0, the sequel to the Rajinikanth and Shankar's 2010 film Enthiran, is believed to be the most expensive Indian film made yet. Also starring Amy Jackson, the official release date of the long-delayed film was announced recently as November 29.
