Priyadarshan’s Sila Samayangalil, featuring Prakash Raj, Sriya Reddy and Ashok Selvan, which made it to the final round of selection for the 74th Annual Golden Globe Awards, will be available on Netflix from May onwards. 

The makers were looking to release the film in theatres last year, but they were unable to for unknown reasons. 

In an interview with Cinema Express, Priyadarshan himself had confirmed that he was happy about the film releasing on an alternative platform. 

The story of Sila Samayangalil revolves around eight characters who arrive at a pathology lab at 9 am to give their blood samples for an AIDS test, and unfolds through the day, leading up to the arrival of the test results at 5 pm.

Produced by director Vijay and Isari Ganesh, the film has background score by Ilaiyaraaja.
