Director Pandiraj's Kadaikutty Singam, which will see Karthi in a rural getup after 2015's Komban, was recently wrapped up. The last day of the shoot was followed by a cake cutting ceremony in which the cast and crew participated, and pictures of it have made their way online. The team will now get busy with the film's post-production work. 

Karthi, who is essaying the role of a farmer in the film, visited farms and spent time with real-life farmers to learn the tricks of the trade. He will be seen alongside Sayyeshaa in Kadaikutty Singam, which also stars Priya Bhavani Shankar of Meyaadha Maan fame, Sathyaraj, Bhanupriya, and Soori. The film, bankrolled by Suriya's 2D Entertainment, has music by Imman.
