Arjun Kapoor to play the lead in Premam Hindi remake

Malayalam romantic drama, Premam, which was released in 2015 went on to become a huge hit in South India. The film was a major turning point in the careers of Nivin Pauly and the three female leads -- Sai Pallavi, Madonna Sebastian, and Anupama Parameshwaran. 

The coming-of-age film was later remade in Telugu in 2016, with the same name and with Naga Chaitanya in the lead. The latest buzz is that 2 States actor, Arjun Kapoor will be stepping in the shoes of Nivin Pauly in the Hindi remake of the film. 

Arjun is currently shooting for Sandeep Aur Pinky, Faraar, and Namaste England, and is expected to next begin work on Ashutosh Gowariker’s epic film Panipat. 

An official announcement about the title, cast and crew of the Premam remake is yet to be made by the makers.
