Maari 2 and Varma crew to resume shooting

With the calling off of the TFPC strike, the shooting of Tamil films is being resumed at a brisk pace. While star vehicles Vijay 62 and Viswasam are scheduled to start rolling from day after tomorrow and May 5, respectively, Dhanush's Maari 2 and Bala's Varma crew began their next schedules today. 

Before the strike began, Balaji Mohan, director of the Maari series, had announced that they had completed 40 per cent of the film, and were targeting a theatrical release in the second half of 2018. The sequel, which went on floors again yesterday, has an ensemble star cast comprising of Sai Pallavi, Varalaxmi, Tovino Thomas and Krishna. 

The first schedule of Dhruv Vikram's debut film Varma was wrapped up in Kathmandu, Nepal during the first week of March. With the shoot resuming yesterday, the makers still haven't disclosed the name of the female lead, who'll reprise the role played by Shalini Pandey in the original, Arjun Reddy
