Vinayakan plays the baddie in Dhruva Natchathiram

Express Features

Malayalam actor Vinayakan has bagged an important role in Gautham Menon's upcoming film, Dhruva Natchathiram, starring Vikram in the lead.

The actor has apparently been receiving plenty of offers from both Malayalam and Tamil filmmakers after he won the Kerala State Film Award for his performance in Kammatipaadam.

Now, rumour mills suggest that Vinayakan will play the primary antagonist in the Vikram-starrer, though there's no official confirmation yet.

Dhruva Natchathiram was announced last year with a trailer, but there's no information about the release date yet. The latest news doing the rounds is that Lyca Productions has acquired the distribution rights.

The film also has Parthiepan, Aishwarya Rajesh, Simran, and Ritu Varma in pivotal roles.
