Jagapathi Babu signs two Hindi films

CE Features

As reported earlier, actor Jagapathi Babu is now Bollywood-bound. The hero-turned-villain has signed two Hindi films and is also in talks for other projects. The 56-year-old actor has been roped in to play the antagonist in the third instalment of the highly successful Salman Khan-starring Dabangg franchise, titled Dabangg 3, and in an untitled project to be directed by Rohit Shetty.

According to a source, choreographer-turned-director Prabhudheva, who is helming Dabangg 3, was the one who recommended Babu’s name to Salman. “Prabhu was thrilled seeing Babu’s recent performances in a few Telugu films and he got him  on board for the film. The project will go on floors in May and also features actors Arbaaz Khan and Sonakshi Sinha in crucial roles. He plays an exciting role in Rohit’s film too, but it’s too early to talk about it,” says the source.

Meanwhile, Jagapathi Babu is currently working on the Chiranjeevi-starrer Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy and also awaits the release of Aatagallu.
