Adil Ibrahim to make his Tamil debut

The Malayalam actor will be making his Kollywood debut through the psychological thriller Munarivan

Malayalam actor Adil Ibrahim is entering Tamil cinema with a psychological thriller titled Munarivan. The film, directed by newbie Vejayaraj will have Anju Kurian of Chennai 2 Singapore fame as the female lead. Talking about the film, Vejayaraj says, "As the title suggests, our hero has the ability to foresee events in his dreams. These dreams are about the bad outcomes to those around him. Will they happen exactly as he dreamt is the story?"

The director was apparently looking for a new face for the film when he spotted Adil. "I saw his Malayalam films and found them to be very convincing."

The film will go on the floors from mid-May and will also star Erode Mahesh, Qureshi (of Kalakka Povadhu Yaaru fame) and a host of new faces. Produced by Ravindar Chandrasekaran's Libra Productions, this film has cinematography by Om Narayan (of India Pakistan fame) and editing by IJ Alen who's worked in Yennamo Yedho. The film will also mark the debut of music director Girinand.
