Six years ago, Karan Johar directed Student of the Year, his first directorial venture to not feature Shah Rukh Khan, with which he introduced Sidharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan, and Alia Bhatt. The filmmaker, who is returning as the producer for the sequel, Student of the Year 2, starring Tiger Shroff in the lead and with Punit Malhotra as its director, has now introduced two more fresh faces.

Bollywood actor Chunky Pandey's daughter Ananya, and singer and former VJ, Tara Sultaria, will be making their debut as the female leads in the sequel. Karan Johar's banner Dharma Productions confirmed that the film has gone on floors and will be released on November 23.

It's worth noting that Ananya is the third female star kid that the director is introducing this year after Sridevi and Boney Kapoor's daughter, Jaanhvi Kapoor, and Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh's daughter, Sara Ali Khan. While the former will soon be seen in Shashank Khaitan's romantic drama Dhadak, remake of the Marathi hit Sairat, the latter will make her debut in the upcoming Ranveer Singh-starrer Simmba.
