Reports were abuzz that Kalyani Priyadarshan, who made her acting debut alongside Akhil Akkineni in Hello last year, will be paired opposite Pranav Mohanlal in an upcoming film.

However, Kalyani took to Twitter to clarify that she wasn't doing the film. This untitled project marks the directorial debut of Ani Sasi, son of ace filmmaker IV Sasi.

Before making her acting debut, Kalyani worked as Sabu Cyril’s assistant production designer for Krrish 3 in 2013 and as an assistant art director for Iru Mugan in 2016. A source close to her says, she's also looking to act in Tamil films, but is waiting for the right script.

Meanwhile, the actor is currently busy with Sudheer Varma's Telugu film, that also stars Sharwanand in the lead.
