Teja’s film with Venkatesh shelved

The project has apparently been shelved due to creative differences between the producer and director

Actors Venkatesh and Shriya Saran were supposed to begin work on their new film Aata Naade Veta Naade with director Teja, but the project has been shelved. To be produced by Suresh Babu Daggubati, the film, which was launched recently, was supposed to go on floors on April 15.

“The project will not happen due to some creative differences between Teja and Suresh Babu. During script discussions, Suresh Babu expressed issues regarding the story and asked Teja to make necessary changes in the second half. This didn’t do down too well with Teja and he has decided to part ways before the film went any further,” says a source.

Ever since the film was announced, the makers have faced hurdles, including trouble finalising the female leads opposite Venkatesh and Nara Rohit, who plays the other lead. “After Nayanthara refused to come aboard, the makers chose Shriya as the female lead. With the project taking its time to go on floors, Shriya, too, is not responding to Teja’s calls and seems uninterested to join the sets. Also, the other female lead, who'll star opposite Rohit, is not yet finalised. Above all, the director and producer are divided over script changes. Hence the film is shelved,” adds the source.
