We had told you that Rajinikanth and Karthik Subbaraj are teaming up for a film produced by Sun Pictures. While this untitled project is currently in the pre-production stage, rumours are abuzz that Nawazuddin Siddiqui has been approached for an important role. 

Reports also suggest the filmmaker had met the Bollywood actor recently and narrated the script to him. However, official confirmation is awaited. Previously, it was said that Vijay Sethupathi was being considered for the same role.

Interestingly, two years ago, Subbaraj had confessed on Facebook that he was a big fan of Siddiqui and asked if he had any plans of working in a Tamil film.

With Anirudh Ravichander confirmed as the music director, the makers are currently finalising the rest of the cast and crew.
