With announcements of multiple projects coming in quick succession, Tovino Thomas is on a roll. Many directors and producers are lining up at his door, making him the most in-demand actor in Malayalam cinema right now. His career got a major boost after the success of his Mayaanadhi directed by Aashique Abu. 

Now the release schedules of two upcoming Tovino films Theevandi and Maradona have also been confirmed by the makers. Theevandi, helmed by debutant Fellini TP, is expected to release during Vishu. The film is touted to be a satire with Tovino supposedly playing the role of an unemployed slacker and a chain smoker. The project is being produced by Dhanush's Mini Studio under the banner of Wunderbar films. This will be the second Tovino film to be produced by Wunderbar films after Mayaanadhi.

Theevandi's release will be followed closely by the release of Maradona sometime in May 2018. The exact release date hasn't been confirmed yet. Vishnu Narayanan, who worked as an associate with Dileesh Pothan, Aashique Abu, and Sameer Thahir, is the director. First-timer Sharanya Nair has been cast as the main female lead. 

In addition to these two films, Tovino is also working on Madhupal's Oru Kuprasidha Payyan, which is expected to come out soon as well.
