I worked as an assistant director in Simbu's film: Sivakarthikeyan

The actor has revealed that he had acted and worked as an assistant director in Simbu's Vettai Mannan

Velaikkaran actor Sivakarthikeyan has revealed recently that his first stint as an actor was in Simbu's unreleased film, Vettai Mannan and not Dhanush's 3. He added that he worked as an assistant director in the film. unfortunately, the project, co-starring Jai in the lead, was stalled midway due to various reasons and never got resumed.

He also said that he is maintaining a healthy relationship with Simbu and he receives feedbacks and suggestions from Simbu during his film releases. Sivakarthikeyan will be next seen in Ponram's Seemaraja, sharing screenspace with Samantha, Simran and Nepoleon. Apart from this film, he has Ravikumar's sci-fi in his kitty. 

Vettai Mannan was directed by Nelson, who is currently helming Nayanthara's Kolamavu Kokila. The director had said in an interview that he has plans to revive the film in the future.
