Kannada heroine Manvitha comes to Tamil cinema

A Sharadhaa

Tagaru craze is heightening by the day, and with it, so are the profiles of those who featured in it. Manvitha Harish, who played the heroine in the recent Kannada hit film, Tagaru, is one of the beneficiaries. Recently, she expressed her excitement about director Ram Gopal Varma tweeting about her performance in Tagaru. He has reportedly also given her a token advance of Rs 2,000, assuring her of a role in his next film.

Manvitha is grateful to director Suri for all the work that’s coming her way. “He has placed more trust in me than I did in myself,” she says. “I have still not gotten over the excitement from having spoken to Ram Gopal Varma. And now, the Tamil film offer has given me scope to dream bigger.” She can’t yet divulge details about the Tamil film.

However, she says she’s been trying to get into the Tamil industry for a few months now. “I feel like everything is falling into place finally," she says.

Manvitha has long been a fan of Tamil cinema. “I have always liked films by Mani Ratnam and Gautham Menon. I am also a big admirer of Dhanush and Vijay Sethupathi,” she says.
