Catherine Tresa, who will next be seen in an action-thriller opposite Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas, has bagged yet another film in Telugu. The Sarrainodu actor has been roped in to play the female lead opposite Ravi Teja in the Telugu remake of Tamil blockbuster Theri. The film will be directed by Santosh Srinivas of Rabhasa fame.

“Catherine will reprise the role originally essayed by Amy Jackson in the remake. She is excited to be on board and will start shooting for the film in late summer,” says a source.

Initially, the film was supposed to have Pawan Kalyan in the lead, but with the actor taking a political plunge, the role has gone to Ravi Teja.

To be produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the filming will begin in June. Meanwhile, the makers are still on the lookout for another actor to play Samantha’s role from the original.
