The excitement for Thor: Ragnarok is really starting to build as the film's release date fast approaches, with rumours and spoilers spreading far and wide. And now the latest buzz is that Matt Damon will be seen doing a cameo in the upcoming Marvel movie.

The franchise has seen a number of actors over the years make quick appearances. If the new rumor is to be believed, then Matt Damon will be seen as an Asgardian performer in the upcoming film. Here's how Damon's scene reportedly unfolds: It's said there is a scene set on Asgard involving an Asgardian play which recounts the events from the first Thor movie. In the play, the role of Loki is played by an Asgardian actor, none other than Damon.

Thor: Raganarok, which is scheduled for release on November 3, is directed by Taika Waititi and stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk/Banner, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Idris Elba as Heimdall, Cate Blanchett as Hela, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Jeff Goldblum as Grandmaster, Anthony Hopkins as Odin and Sam Neill in an unknown role.
