‘Don’t belittle our hard work’

...says Jr NTR, who feels that some critics are intentionally trying to kill the prospects of certain films

Jr NTR said film reviewers are entitled to express their views about a movie, but they should refrain from belittling the efforts and hard work invested by a team. “Being a democratic nation, we have every right to express our opinion on anything. But, our words shouldn’t dash the hopes of a team who worked sincerely for months together to give their best,” said NTR at the success meet of his latest release Jai Lava Kusa.

The 34-year-old actor also feels that some critics are intentionally trying to kill the prospects of films. “I’m not generalising the things but some darinapoye danayyalu (a few critics) are spreading negativity even before a film gets released. Why have a preconception? If the audience didn’t like a film, we will accept it. So, let them decide the fate of a film. It feels happy that the public is lapping up our Jai Lava Kusa and recognised our efforts,” he added.

He concluded his speech with an apology too. “If someone feels hurt for some of the words spoken by me, I request them to forgive me.”

Jai Lava Kusa, directed by Bobby has become the fastest film in NTR’s career to have surpassed the Rs 100 crore club and is still running to packed houses.
