Tovino Thomas, who's making his acting debut in Tamil with Abhiyum Anuvum, has been roped in to play the antagonist in Maari 2. Director Balaji Mohan has confirmed the news on his Twitter page.

Tovino has already collaborated with Dhanush, who has produced the former's upcoming Malayalam film, Tharangam. The dark comedy will mark Dhanush’s debut in Malayalam cinema as a producer.
