In a recent Facebook chat, Jyotika had revealed that Madras Talkies approached Karthi to try and reach out to her for Mani Ratnam’s upcoming multi-starrer. As Karthi did Kaatru Veliyidai with Madras Talkies, they had asked him whether Jyothika would be available for script narration and then, everything fell fallen into place.

Jyotika also revealed that Vijay Sethupathi was her favourite actor after Suriya, with whom she will be sharing screen space in Mani Ratnam’s film.

The actress is currently awaiting the release of Bala's Naachiyaar in which she plays "a bold and daring role."
