Simbu's English film to be wrapped up by December

Express Features

We have already reported that Simbu is all set to direct a yet-to-be-titled film in English, which will reportedly not have any songs or an interval break. The latest we hear is that the shoot is to be wrapped up by the end of December, so that the actor can commence work on Mani Ratnam's next project that's scheduled to begin in January 2018. Simbu had originally planned to complete his film by September.

A source close to the actor says, "He was waiting for Gautham Menon (who'll be penning the dialogues) and cinematographer Santhosh Sivan. While Gautham's been busy with Dhruva Natchathiram, Santhosh has been tied up with the final schedule of Spyder. So, the shoot for the Simbu film will begin in October end."

The untitled project will have Simbu donning the director’s hat for the second time after Vallavan. Yuvan Shankar Raja has already completed the background score for the film, which will be edited by Antony. The film will be dubbed in Tamil and other regional languages.
