Arvind Swami, who played the antagonist in Bogan, will not be part of its Telugu remake starring Ravi Teja. We hear SJ Suryah may be cast instead of Arvind in the original. A source close to director Lakshman, who's also directing the Telugu version, says the team never wanted to cast Arvind in the Telugu remake, but the producers were keen to retain him because of his outstanding performance. The film’s scripting work is currently on and according to reports, the shooting will commence later this year. Catherine Tresa is reprising Hansika's role in the Telugu version. "Other details will be finalised in the coming days once Lakshman completes the script," adds the source.
