We told you earlier that Vijay Sethupathi will play a don in Junga, directed by Gokul of Kaashmora fame. The latest we learn is that he'll be bankrolling the film as well.

Gokul tells us, "I narrated the script, and he was silent for a few minutes. Then, he assured me he'd produce it. He will invest around Rs 20 crore. This is a big step in his career, and he's excited about it."

The director adds that 70 per cent of the film will be shot in Paris, and the rest of the portions will be helmed in Ramanathapuram, Chennai, and Tuticorin.

Sayyeshaa of Vanamagan fame is on board as the heroine and she'll be seen as a girl born and raised in Paris. She was chosen since the makers were looking for an unusual combination.

Junga marks Gokul's second collaboration with Vijay Sethupathi after Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara.
