R Chandru, who has completed the shoot for his upcoming film Kanaka starring Duniya Vijay, is gearing up to release the first-look trailer on November 1, to coincide with Kannada Rajyotsava.

“Vijay is a Rajkumar fan in the film and this drives the storyline,” says Chandru. “We therefore thought that this is the best day to release this trailer, as a dedication to the legend”. The trailer will be based on Kannada, Karnataka and the matinee idol.

Currently in the process of re-recording for the movie, Chandru will have it ready for the Censors in ten days. “We are hopeful about releasing the movie by end of November,” says the director.

Chandru says that Kanaka will be different from Vijay’s regular movies. “There will stunt sequences but the movie is more of a family entertainer,” says the director. “We are confident that the plotline will be appreciated by families and women”.

Kanaka is the third film from Chandru’s home production Siddheshwara Enterprises. The movie also features Hariprriya, Manvitha, Roopika, KP Nanjundi, Sadhu Kokila, Ravi Shankar and Bullet Prakash. The film has music by Naveen Sajju and cinematographery by Sathya Hegde.
