Members of the Tamil film fraternity support Mersal

Express Features

With pressure being piled on the Mersal team to remove the controversial scenes which were said to target certain political parties, several members of the Tamil film fraternity have raised their voices in favour of Mersal.  Earlier, Tamil Nadu's BJP leaders Tamilisai Soundararajan and Pon Radhakrishnan had criticized the film, asking for the dialogues to be taken off. Contrastingly, director Pa Ranjith has now stated that the dialogues must not be removed from the film as it directly reflects upon the issues faced by people.

Some of the big names from Kollywood have also taken to Twitter to share their thoughts and express their opinions on the same. Here we have some of those tweets compiled for you.
