Superstar Mahesh Babu has suggested actress Rakul Preet Singh’s name for the female lead role in his 25th film to be directed by Vamshi Paidipally.
“Rakul has built a great rapport with Mahesh and Namrata during the shoot of Spyder. He liked Rakul’s work in the AR Murugadoss-directorial and believes that only she could do justice to that role. So Mahesh recommended her name to Vamshi to play the leading lady in the film even before their earlier outing was complete,” a source says.
Billed to be a romantic thriller, the film is set in a US backdrop and the shooting will commence early next year. “Currently, Vamshi is stationed in the US to scout for locations and he will meet Rakul soon after he lands in the city,” the source adds.
Devi Sri Prasad has been roped in to score music for the film to be produced jointly by Dil Raju and Aswini Dutt. The film is scheduled to land in cinemas for Dasara 2018.
