Dogs have become an integral part of many movies and Kannada cinema too seems to be enjoying this flavour of the season. While Kiranraj K is preparing himself to helm a film about a dog titled 777 Charlie with Aravind Iyer, under the banner of Rakshit Shetty’s Paramvah Studios, here is yet another film, that revolves around a labrador Gunda. 

The film titled Naanu Mathu Gunda marks the debut of Shivaraj, of Comedy Khiladugalu fame, who plays an auto driver. Samyukta Hornad plays the female lead. 

The film is directed by Raghu Haasan and Srinivas Thimmaiah. They are in the second schedule of the shoot in Sakleshpur. 

Samyukta  says, “Being an animal lover, this film is special for me. There are two dogs on the sets - one plays the younger Gunda and the other, the older one who is three years old. There are trainers to take care of them and the dogs seem obedient too. The story revolves around Gunda. As for my character, I initially hate animals but everything changes when Gunda comes into my life. The dogs will definitely steal the show.”
