Ad filmmaker-turned-director Revathi Varma will soon be helming the biopic of veteran track and field athlete PT Usha. It's now confirmed that AR Rahman would be composing the music for this film.

Talks are on to rope in Priyanka Chopra to play PT Usha and sources state that the actress is also interested in the film. Her Hollywood commitments kept here busy until now and she's expected to give her nod to the film soon. She isn't new to biopics, having previously played the titular role in Mary Kom, a biopic on the Olympics winning boxer.

The PT Usha film will feature three stages of the athlete's life--as a child aspiring to become a runner, an athlete, and as a mother and coach. This yet-to-be-titled biopic, which will go on floors in six months, will be made on a budget of Rs 100 crore, the majority of which will be spent on recreating the 80s and 90s timeline. Owing to Usha's popularity in other countries, the film is to be made in English, Malayalam, Hindi, Chinese and Russian.
