The sequel to Vikram's 2003 cop film Saamy, has been titled, Saamy Square. The production company Thameens Films shared the title via its Twitter account and also announced the commencement of the shoot.

With Vikram donning the Khakhi uniform once again, Trisha will reprise the role of Vikram's wife. Keerthy Suresh has been signed up to play an important role. The cast also includes Soori and Prabhu with Bobby Simha playing the villain.
