The shooting of Mr Chandramouli starring Karthik and Gautham Karthik in the lead started today in Chennai. According to sources, the film will be shot entirely in the city. Directed by Thiru, we hear the story revolves around a father, and a son. While Karthik plays a government officer, Gautham will be seen as a boxer, for which he went to Bangkok to train. The film also has veteran director J Mahendran in the role of a successful businessman, and Thiru's (real-life) father-in-law as Karthik's friend. According to a source both Karthik and Gautham have given bulk dates to complete the film in one schedule.
