Mohanlal's mega project Odiyan will be Malayalam's first crossover film, and will release simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu, says director Shrikumar Menon. He tells CE that the film, though made in Malayalam, will have a pan-India appeal.

Odiyan, that has Mohanlal and Prakash Raj in the lead, also boasts of a 15-minute-long climax with high-voltage action sequences choreographed by Peter Hein. According to the filmmaker, the stunt sequences will be on par with international projects.  A mass entertainer, the film will follow the life of Manickyan a shape-shifting assassin.

With the first three schedules of the film already wrapped up, the team will soon begin the last schedule that will feature Mohanlal in a much younger avatar. A team of 25 fitness experts have been roped in for training the actor, who is said to be investing as much as eight hours a day for the workouts.
