Express Features

The first look poster of Vishnu Manchu-starrer Kural 388 was launched on Wednesday. Directed by GS Karthik, the film, titled Voter in Telugu, has Surbhi as the heroine. In the poster, Vishnu is seen as the common voter, and the backdrop has pictures including Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Manmohan Singh, MGR, Jayalalithaa and Narendra Modi and other prominent politicians.

Said to be based on the 388th couplet from Thirukkural, that talks about how an administrator will be considered a god when he protects his subjects, the story loosely revolves around the everyday virtues of a citizen and the role he has in a democracy. The film,  touted to have a universal concept, also stars Nasser, Sampath and Thalaivasal Vijay in pivotal roles.
