Suri returns to Kendasampige days

A Sharadhaa

Director Suri has completed the shoot of his next, Tagaru starring Shivarajkumar, and is now working on its post production. There is also a grand audio launch planned for mid-December, and the film will be out in theatres early 2018.

What is the director’s plan of action after Tagaru? He says that he will revisit Kaage Bangara. This is a prequel to the critically acclaimed film Kendasampige, which was released in 2015. With Prashanth Siddi playing a prominent role, the film revolves around three blind characters.

Suri, who is now working on the character sketches, says “I want to go back to doing an experimental film, which has been a long-pending commitment. Kaage Bangara will be a commercial film that will see a mix of newcomers and known faces. The story will have shades of Kendasampige, and it is shaping up well. It has drama and reflects on contemporary human values.”

Suri will also be producing the film under his banner Parimala Film Factory. “I plan to go on floors from February 2018,” he adds.

The director has zeroed in on Charan Raj as the music director, and is in the process of finalising rest of the cast and techinicians.
