GV Prakash has sung a duet, Unnai Vitaa Yaarumilla, in maestro Ilaiyaraaja's composition for Naachiyaar. Sharing the information on Twitter, the young actor-composer said this day was an important one in his life.

The female portions have been sung by Priyanka of Super Singer fame.

Directed by Bala, the film has Jyotika, who plays a cop and Prakash in the role of a north Chennai guy. Though nothing is known about the film, speculations are rife that Naachiyaar traces the real-life story of a murderer.

Another interesting aspect of the film is Ilaiyaraaja's soundtrack. Bala and Ilaiyaraaja have given several hits in the past, and expectations are high for Naachiyaar too.
