Ameer plays a don in Vada Chennai?

Rumour has it that director Ameer Sultan will play a don from the eighties in Vetrimaaran's Vada Chennai. The role was originally supposed to be played by Vijay Sethupathi. According to sources, Ameer's role will be quite an intense one, and Vetrimaaran is confident about Ameer's abilities as an actor.

Vada Chennai will be made in three parts and will chronicle 30 years in the life of a gangster from North Chennai.

The film, which has Dhanush in the lead, also stars Aishwarya Rajesh, Andrea Jeremiah, Samuthirakani, and Kishore in important roles.
