My Story, starring Prithviraj and Parvathy in the lead, marks Ganesh Venkatraman's second Malayalam film after Kandahar. The actor has completed his first schedule of shoot in Mysore recently. He tells us, "I play a pivotal role in the film, which takes the story forward. I wouldn't say I play an anti-hero exactly, but my role has grey shades."

Ganesh adds it's not a cop role either. He'll be joining the second schedule of the film, which will begin in January in Portugal. "It's a very well mounted film, which has the look and feel of a Hollywood project. Dudley, the man behind the cinematography for Chennai Express, will also be a part of this film," he says.

How did he bag the offer? "I didn't know Bigg Boss Tamil was a huge hit in Kerala. The director Roshni Dinaker approached me after seeing me on the show. She thought I'd be apt for the role of David. In fact, the team waited for almost a month as I was occupied with the show-related commitments," he smiles.

Ganesh has also signed three other Tamil films. "The respective production houses will reveal more about the projects in the coming days," he says.

My Story, which depicts two different stages in the lives of Prithviraj and Parvathy, has music by Shaan Rahman.
