The Nayanthara-starrer Aramm, which was released last Friday, has been getting rave responses with the actor appreciated for choosing such an off-beat script and the story praised for speaking about many issues faced by the laymen of the country. With the film turning out to be a successful venture, it was speculated that producer Rajesh of KJR Studios had decided to make a sequel to the film. Since the film ends with Nayanthara's character setting out to help the needy in 'different' ways, the possibility of a sequel seemed plausible too.

We now have confirmation about this from the director of Aramm, Gopi Nainar. "A sequel is indeed on the cards. In fact, the story is nearly completed," he says. When asked if Nayanthara will be a part of the sequel as well, Gopi says he will confirm that in a week's time.

A source close to the production team states that the sequel will be as hard-hitting as the original film and might possibly go on the floors next year.
