Working with Emily Blunt was 'dream' for Michael Vogel

Screenwriter Michael Vogel says working with actress Emily Blunt in fantasy animation film My Little Pony was a dream-come-true moment for him.

"One of the great things about working on My Little Pony through the years is we've had so many amazing actors and so many amazing people be a part of the show," Vogel said.

"These women and men have totally personified these characters and brought them to life. So, to have someone like Emily come in and be part of the team, it's one of those like dream-come-true, pinch yourself moments," he added.

My Little Pony is based on the successful television series My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. The film revolves around the journey of the Mane 6 - Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and Rarity, beyond Equestria to save Ponyville using the magic of friendship, from a threatening dark force that will destroy their home.

Blunt has voiced the character of Tempest. Kristin Chenoweth, Liev Schreiber, Michael Pena, Sia, Taye Diggs, Uzo Aduba and Zoe Saldana have also lent their voices to the film. The film, which was brought to India by MVP Entertainment, released yesterday.
