Soubin Shahir, who made his directorial debut in Parava recently, will next be seen playing the lead in Sudani from Nigeria. African actor Samuel Abiola Robinson will also be seen in an important role for the film.

According to director Zackaria, the film is a family drama, set in the background of football. "November is the season of Sevens football in Malabar areas. Our film Sudani from Nigeria is set in such a backdrop. Though there is football, this isn't a sports film, rather a comic family drama," says Zackaria.

The project, which has already gone on the floors, gained attention after Samuel Robinson shared a picture with Soubin. Dulquer Salman has also tweeted the first look of the film, that is produced by cinematographer Shyju Khalid and director Sameer Thahir.
