Imsai Arasan sequel stalled

Express Features

Reports suggest that the filming of Imsai Arasan 24am Pulikecei, the sequel to Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikecei, has been put on hold because of creative differences between Vadivelu and director Chimbu Devan.

The team were shooting a grand song with Vadivelu and foreign dancers at a colossal set reportedly erected at a cost of Rs 3 crore, by the film’s art director Muthuraj in Chennai. While, it is unknown if the filming of the song was completed, creative differences apparently started creeping in when the discussion for the scenes commenced, as Vadivelu was not happy with the way Chimbu Devan had developed the script.

The filmmaker is said to be redrafting the script. The team of Imsai Arasan 24am Pulikecei feels confident that the shoot will be resumed once the redraft is complete and the differences resolved.
