DSP replaces Harris Jayaraj

Express Features

It has been a game of musical chairs between Devi Sri Prasad and Harris Jayaraj with respect to working with director Hari.

DSP was a staple of the Singam series, but surprisingly lost out to Harris Jayaraj for Singam 3. Harris, who was the music director of the original Saamy, had just worked with Hari for the first time since 2005 and this combo was expected to churn out hits as in the first film. In a twist to the tale however, DSP has bagged Saamy 2, making this his fifth colloboration with director Hari, and one more than Harris Jayaraj.

The film stars Vikram in the titular role with Trisha also reprising her role from the original.
