Cheran advises Rajnikanth

Express Features

Acclaimed director Cheran, who recently came back to twitter after a hiatus, shared his thoughts on the topic of Rajinikanth's entry into politics.

Across multiple tweets, Cheran remarked that the political scenario in the state is one full of multiple problems like corruption, selfishness and dishonesty, and despite Rajini's inclination to honesty, when situations like agitation against Hindi imposition, non-closure of TASMAC wine shops and going against Karnataka come up, he would have to be a populist. Given the challenges that are present, Cheran advised that if Rajini was going to enter politics, it would be best if the Superstar went and spoke to and understood the pulse of the people. He further added that splitting up problems area-wise would be a good start.
