Cinematographer-director Vijay Milton, whose latest outing was Kadugu, is working on his next yet-untitled Tamil film will go on floors from July 10. The film will primarily be based on basketball.

He tells CE, "I am writing the script right now and it's not a full-on sports film. But it is based on the lives of basketball players." He goes on to add, "It's an action-based subject, set in Manali (Pudu Nagar). We'll be shooting from July 10 onwards."

He also says, "It will primarily revolve around basketball, but it will also deal with other sports."

Prod him more, and Vijay reveals that the famous Malayalam writer-director Chemban Vinod Jose has been roped in to play an important role in this untitled film. "I can't reveal anything more. We have finalised the cast, crew and title, and an official announcement will be made soon.," he smiles.

Known for films like Goli Soda and Kadugu, the filmmaker says he likes to explore different themes. "Just like my last film Kadugu, this film too will be different. When I hate monotony in my own life, how can I enjoy doing the same kind of films?"

Vijay Milton will produce his next film under his home banner, Rough Note Productions.
