Madhur Bandarkar apprehensive about his next

The filmmaker's upcoming film Indu Sarkar is set to release next month

Madhur Bhandarkar's upcoming film Indu Sarkar is set to release next month. The director has been promoting the film with actress Kirti Kulhari for a couple of weeks now. During one such video interaction on social media, when Madhur was asked whether he was unsure about doing a movie on Emergency, he had this to say, "I was a little apprehensive in the beginning, but this movie is not only about the emergency; it is only a backdrop that we have used. I wanted to show the young generation the events that actually happened during the emergency, and that is why I chose this subject."

There have been many rumours that Madhur's film has been supported by a political party.  Responding to this allegation, the filmmaker says, "It is not true; if I wanted to get support from any party, I would have made this film two years back!"

Indu Sarkar stars Anupam Kher, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Supriya Vinod, Tota Roy Chowdhury among others.
