Allu Arjun's latest release Duvvada Jagannadham aka DJ has grossed Rs.100 crore in its opening weekend.

"Despite garnering mixed response on its first day, DJ has become the highest grosser in my banner. The film has raked in Rs. 100 crore gross on its first weekend and the success speaks volumes about the hard work put in by Bunny, Harish Shankar and the team," said Dil Raju on the sidelines of DJ's Thank You Meet.

Responding to the criticism he had been subjected to over the years, director Harish Shankar said, "Many people crib a lot that I had an attitude problem after Gabbar Singh's success. But, it was my attitude that fetched me Gabbar Singh."

Harish also expressed his displeasure with film critics. "We are a democratic nation and everyone is entitled to have an opinion. Rather than writing about the prospects of the film, our critics started making personal remarks. The film's success has proved that revenue is what it matters and not the reviews," he added.
