Director Balakrishnan, who made Mudhalvar Mahatma and Kamaraj-the Kingmaker, is planning to make a biopic on the legendary actor-politician MGR. And guess what? He has approached Sathyaraj to play the iconic figure on the screen. We hear the script is getting ready. It's well-known that Sathyaraj is an ardent fan of MGR. The filmmaker was quoted saying the team would finalise the lead actors in a few days.

Apparently, the film will chronicle both his film and political career; the challenges he faced, and how he withstood them. A source says, "This year marks the 100th birth anniversary of MGR's, and he still holds a special place in the hearts of the people of Tamil Nadu. The film will be made in a commercial format. Sathyaraj has not officially signed on for the project yet. However, an official announcement is expected soon."
